Te Reo Tāwhiri ki ngā Kuia, Koroua – Welcoming the elderly

Te Matatini and Ngāti Kahungunu hosts, Te Kahu o Te Amorangi, will provide a range of services for kaumātua at the national festival.

Gold Card kaumātua can buy discounted tickets to Te Matatini, $45 for a 4-day pass or $15 for a daily pass.

Kaumātua car parks will be close to the main entrance (less than 20 metres) and the festival area will have level footpaths for walking and disability access.

On the ground floor of the grandstand will be a lounge area dedicated to kaumātua (and one caregiver). This has a prime view of the main stage as well as TV screens, free catering, wharepaku and disability facilities.

They will also have a host group to attend to their needs.

Kahungunu ngākau oha, Kahungunu manaaki tangata!
