Te Matatini Te Manahautū | Chief Executive Carl Ross is pleased to advise the re-appointment of Tā Herewini Parata as Heamana | Chairperson of Te Matatini Society Incorporated.

“At today’s annual general meeting the national board of Te Matatini voted unanimously to re-appoint Tā Herewini as chairperson, a decision I am very excited about,” says Carl.

“With Tā Herewini remaining as chairperson, Te Matatini and myself, will continue to be guided by his trusted leadership and experience, ensuring our waka remains steady in our journey ahead.

“The close relationships he possesses with key leaders including Prime Minister Hon Chris Luxon, former prime ministers and ministers of the crown from all political parties, as well as indigenous leaders from around the world, gives Tā Herewini the ability to safely navigate a future for Te Matatini and kapa haka focused on growth and excellence.
